Uniform Guidelines

At Mount Zion Christian Academy, we take pride in the appearance of our students, as it reflects positively on our school community and contributes to a focused, distraction-free learning environment. Proper grooming and appropriate dress not only promote a sense of dignity and pride but also support the safe and orderly operation of our school. We believe students and parents share the responsibility of maintaining these high standards. Students are expected to dress in a clean, neat, and well-groomed manner, with hairstyles that are tidy and presentable.

To ensure consistency, students are required to follow these guidelines:

Clothing that exposes the abdominal area or includes halter tops or spaghetti straps is not permitted.
Shorts, skorts, jumpers, and skirts must be no shorter than fingertip length when arms are extended straight down the side.
Pants must be worn securely at the waist at all times.
Shoes should be safe and suitable for all school activities, including physical education. Tennis shoes are strongly encouraged, and heels must be no higher than 2 inches.

Our students wear the official school uniform daily, fostering a sense of unity and school pride. On Fridays, students may enjoy a more relaxed dress code, with the option to wear blue jeans or knee-length shorts or skirts, along with shoes and socks of their choice. These standards ensure that every student is dressed for success while maintaining comfort and safety throughout the school day.

6th grade MZCA Grey polo uniform shirt*
Navy or khaki pants, shorts, jumpers, skorts, or skirts*
Black sneakers (black rubber sole)
Pants and shorts must be worn at the natural waistline with black or brown belts

The enforcement of the dress code rests with the principal; however, the staff is familiar and cognizant of a student's dress and grooming thereby referring all violations to the principal.
